Bump-date - 21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks and two days

Size? According to my ultrasound on Thursday, baby is almost 1 pound. Which is right on track for how far long I am.

Weight gain/loss? I weighed in a 153 at the appointment. So, I gained 3 pounds.

Maternity Clothes? Yes, still loving my maternity jeans. I bought some more jeans online. I still need more shirts, but will probably get some cute non-maternity ones in just a size bigger.

Stretch Marks? None. I have started putting lotion on though. Hopefully, this will prevent some.

Wedding Rings on or off? On

Sleep? Sleeping great. Lately, I been wanting even more sleep than usual on weekdays and weekends I am filled with energy...weird!

Best Moment of the Week? Having the anatomy scan and getting lot more sonogram pictures.

Miss anything? Wine still. The mocktails "fake cocktails" kinda of help though. Apple-tinis....the list goes on...lol

Food Cravings/Aversions? None really.

Gender? hmmm, will reveal in a post soon!

Happy or moody most? Happy. hubby says that I am the happiest pregnant woman that he has ever seen. He says I must really like being pregnant lol. Let's see if this stays this way. I'm thinking it may change the further I get along.

Labor signs? None. I have tightness every now and then, not sure if those are Braxton hicks contractions or not. I sure it is probably too early for those.

Belly button in or out? In but it is very shallow

Looking forward to?  Decorating the nursery. Hubby has decided that he wants to paint the room by himself as a gift to baby.

Making room for baby

We have began planning the nursery, and I must say that I have been in paint sample HELL!
When we first moved in our home back in 2009, we had already decided that the room that we currently use as a workout room would eventually become a nursery. The gym equipment currently in the room will be moved to hubby's man cave/game room. Hubby plans to change his sports-game/poker room to a theater/movie slash workout room.

So, back to the nursery. We have gotten so many paint chips and thought we found one that we like. In which we then would go buy the actual paint sample to only realize that the color is all wrong and have to go through the whole process again. Ughhhh! Frustrating.

I finally decided to look on pinterest for some ideas. This helped tremendously, I was able to see the paint colors in actual rooms with furniture and with various lighting before spending $2.87 again for YET another paint sample. Seriously, I think we spent enough on samples to equate to one gallon of paint. :-/

So here's how the room looks currently.

Here's from the corner of the room looking towards the door. The room is rather small about 12x12.

Here's what we had been going through in the decision process. Looks fun, huh? There is the diaper stacker that we hung there to compare to the colors and theme that we wanted to go with.

We finally decided on this color. Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue. It was gender neutral. The color is a blueish green color and I think will make a great backdrop for the lamb theme that we are going with. We thought the solid greens were a little too matchy matchy with the diaper stacker.
NOTE: we are going to get the paint color matched in behr paint.
Here's a picture from pinterest of the color in various rooms:
I love this pic

I like it A LOT!! I really want a nice light airy feeling for those 2am feedings and sleepless nights.

I began a inspiration board that has pics of some ideas that I have for the room. Dark espresso  crib, white dresser with changing pad on top (again I didn't want the furniture too matchy, matchy or too many dark woods making the space appear smaller) , dark espresso knobs on the white dresser, lamb mobile, white sheepskin rug, white/ivory rocking chair with ottoman, colored pillow in chair, lamb rocker, small bookshelf, patterned curtains, hanging baskets to keep toys and etc tidy, and last by not least that lovely palladian blue color. So what do you think? Any suggestions or changes are EXTREMELY welcomed!!!!!!! This is only in the draft/planning phases.
 Let me hear from you

Pregnancy Update!!

How far along?  20 Weeks today!!!

Total weight gain/loss: At my last appointment I had not gained any since the previous appointment. My weight was 150 at that appointment (about 4 weeks ago). I think I may have started out around the 145 range pre-pregnancy. My doctor didn't seem concerned that I hadn't gain since the last appointment. She said the baby takes what it needs. So, I'm okay with that answer. She also said that normal total weight gain is 25 to 30 pounds, but I may not get anywhere near that.

Maternity clothes? Yes, I love my maternity jeans. I can still fit some work slacks, but not many in my closet. Most hurt my belly or I can't button them all the way. I love leggings. They are my best friends. Oh, and hubby made me switch my heels out for flat shoes. LOL
Thankfully, I work from home most days (I just go in the office one a week). So, I can usually find something presentable to wear.

Stretch marks? Not yet. I need to start using cocoa butter. I know that stretch marks are mostly genetic, but I still we use some just in case. My mom said that she got stretch marks during her pregnancy. So :-/

Symptoms:  None. I have been doing really well.

Sleep: I have been sleeping pretty well. I just usually wake up in the middle of night to go to the bathroom. Also, I notice sometimes I wake up before the alarm goes off. I feel rested but then when I go back to sleep and wake up I feel exhausted.

Best moment this week: Seeing hubby's face when he actually felt the baby kick. That look was priceless.

Have you told family and friends: Yes

Miss Anything? Yes, I miss sushi and wine so verrrrrrry much that it is crazy!!!! I can't wait to have some after the delivery.

Movement: I use to feel fluttering and baby pokes (kind of like a popping sensation) really low in my belly, but now I feel actual kicks and movement stronger and baby has moved up and now is just under my belly button area.

Food cravings: I still crave meat! Protein!!! This pregnancy has made me crave red meat more than ever and hubby and I didn't use to eat much red meat at all. Now, I crave it so much. So, maybe my body needs to iron from it.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I had a salad the other day and don't think baby likes salad. This also happened once before during the first trimester.

Have you started to show yet:  Yes, I am definitely showing now more than before.

Gender prediction: We know the gender and will reveal soon!!

Belly Button in or out? In, but it looks like it wont be long before it will be out.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy happy happy!!

Looking forward to: Getting our anatomy scan on January 10th. I can't wait to see the gummy bear again and get lots of pic, but most importantly to make sure he/she is healthy.

Baby Bump Transformation

As of today, I am 19 weeks, 6 days. Just one day from 20 weeks. Wow, 20 weeks means I am half way through the pregnancy. Time has flown rather quickly. Before you know it the 3rd trimester will be here...eeeeek!!!!

Okay, I will try not to think about  that. I just want to take a look back at how this baby has transformed my body thus far. :-) Please ignore how I look in them. I took most of the pics on Saturday mornings right before or after my prenatal yoga class.

This was at about 17 weeks

Just took this last night before bed. My stomach felt huge!! LOL

So, this little gummy bear is taking over my body already lol. Just kidding, I am enjoying the transformation a lot. I also think baby is taking over my brain. I definitely have the prego brain lately. I notice I tend to look a lot bigger at night than in the morning. I guess it's from the day's bloating and food.

In my next blog post, I put in simple details some changes/pregnancy items thus far.
