So, here's a better pic of "MICK", my mom diva car

Transformation of the belly

I noticed that I had same shirt on the other day from a previous week pic. So, I thought it would be good to do a look back at the transformation of the belly bump.

Here's 16 weeks

And....here's at 30 weeks
Yup, definitely a baby growing in there :-)

Bump Date - 28 - 30 weeks

How far along? 30 weeks

Size? According to my what to expect baby app, baby is the about the size of head of lettuce

Weight gain/loss? At my last doctor's appointment, I weighed in at 153.5. So, I think I've gained a total of 8 to 10 pounds thus far for this pregnancy,

Maternity Clothes? oh yeah!

Stretch Marks? None so far.

Wedding Rings on or off? On.

Sleep? Sleeping ok. My hip hurts on and off through out the night so I switch from side to side. My left hip hurts the most. Let me tell, turning over is becoming a little bit of a chore. Sometimes I end up sleeping on my back until hubby catches me and says "get off your back. Tuck doesn't like that". I try hard to sleep on my side and on my back since the back is suppose to be a no-no.

Best Moment of the Week(s)?
1. Getting the dresser put together in Little Tuck's room and also getting his mirror hung on the wall.
2. Feeling his movements and kicks even stronger. I pray to God for a happy healthy baby.
3. Laughing at my preggo brain with hubby when I couldn't find my cell phone. Hubby called it and still couldn't find it and it was in my back pocket, vibrating, and still didn't feel it lol

Miss anything? Nothing really.

Food Cravings/Aversions? I've been craving Sonics corn dogs lately lol

Gender? It's a BOY!!!!!! Tucker Louis Thompson

Happy or moody most? Mostly happy and a little slightly insane. lol

Labor signs? None.

Belly button in or out? In, mostly, but you can see the indentation through my shirts.

Looking forward to? Hopefully completing the nursery. I have now progressed to two week doctor appointments.....eeeek!!!! "Ish" is about to get REAL!!!! :-)

My new mommie car!

We finally said goodbye to "JIM" (my 2000 GMC Yukon). I had him since 2003. I purchased him with about 53k miles. Jim now had 192k miles on him. Yes, I put about 150k miles on him in about 10 years. Not bad!!

Jim started giving me problems more and more and with a baby on the way Hubby was not going to let me get stranded on side the road with a baby.

So, hubby searched online for months and months. And, we finally settled on the Lincoln MKX Of course this was based on our budget. As my husband says "we can make this a financial decision or an emotional decision" (he said this when I started going over the pre-decided budget)

I call it my MOM-DIVA car (no minivan for this fashionista). It has tons of safety features, including side curtain airbags (for the mom in me) but for the Diva in me, it has a panoramic sunroof that goes all the way back the back seat. It makes me feel like I am in a convertible. :-). It has controls on the steering wheel to adjust the radio, a/c, etc. Leather seats, Ipod connectivity, Sirius satellite radio, heat AND cooled seats )also the backs seats are heated...heheheh....

Only thing it is missing is Bluetooth (the ability to talk on my phone handsfree through the stereo), but Lincoln makes an aftermarket product that we are thinking about purchasing that will allow me to talk hands free.

I am such a kid in a candy store. My favorite financial advisor says to keep your cars 10 years. So, lets see if this MKX (which I have nicknamed "MICK) is up for the challenge.

So, do you think it fits me?

Nursery - Part 1 - Teaser

I've mentioned the plans for the nursery (aka the old workout room) before and have posted my inspiration board and some ideas that I have been mulling over for the room.

Hubby and I came up with a budget for the stuff that we needed for the baby's room (not a big surprise we are budgeters and bargain shoppers).

So far in the room we have: the crib, the mattress, the rocking chair/glider, ottoman and now we have dresser.

I wanted a good size dresser because the closet is small in the room and more storage will be needed as the baby grows. Also, I did not want to do a dresser AND a changing table because I have heard that a changing table is a waste of money and eventually goes unused (since you will basically end up changing the baby anywhere in the house, not just the changing table).

So, my plan was to have a changing pad on top of the dresser. Thus, I wanted a dresser that was long enough to accommodate this and yet still have space for other things on the dresser.

I had come across the IKEA hemnes dresser on several blogs and on several pinterest boards in various nurseries.I fell IN LOVE!! I lusted over it. Pined over it. And was able to convince hubby to get it. This was a bit of a budget buster, but we came under budget in other areas so hubby agreed. He was a bit reluctant. (NOTE: later after it was put together he said "good call on the dresser, babe". So, I think that he is glad the we tweaked the budget and got it).

So here are picture of the dresser and a teaser of some of the other items in the room. Once its complete I will do a blog with the nursery revealed and giving more details about what we did etc..

So, Tucker's nursery Part 1 (click pictures to make them larger)

we cut Jerry's Yao Ming Fat head up and used it to make letters for the remainder of Tucker's name.

Little Tuck is my sunshine :-)

The finished dresser. I love it! Can we move it to our master bedroom? LOL If Tuck doesn't like it when he is older, I will take it :-)

Yao no longer plays for the rockets so we cut him up

Had to put together 8 drawers, yup 8.

Hubby got the dresser standing rather quickly!

Look at my wonderful husband handling that WOOD hehehe lol

Hubby organized all the parts and boards etc before starting and let me tell you there were A LOT of pieces. All the pieces were a bit overwhelming to me.  He's so organized. I just wanted to jump right in and get started...Yup, I'm type A.

SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ROOM SO FAR?????????
