Our Babymoon

We planned and booked a babymoon back in the 2nd trimester. When we booked it, hubby and I didn't realize that it was Easter weekend, but it was one our free weekends as all others were beginning to fill up.

We decided to do a short getaway to San Antonio for 3 days. We love the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk. This was our 3rd time staying there. The last time we stayed there was in November for our 3rd year wedding anniversary. They went over and beyond to make sure we had a great anniversary (they had rose petasl trailed from the door to the bedroom, heart shaped rose petals on the bed, champagne and chocolates and strawberries). So, you see how awesome they are!

We drove down to San Antonio on Saturday morning. I normally don't like road trips, but I can handle this road trip (since its not over 4 hours).

Hubby and I talked and talked and sang to some old school music. Well, I will call it "our school" music. LOL

I found this cool road trip question and answer game on pinterest. I asked hubby some of the questions and he had to answer and I would in turn answer. It was really enlightening and very funny. Some of them made me tear up a bit (i.e. What are your fears and what would you today tell your 16 yr old self ). It was so freeing to actually verbalize some of these things. It also felt really good to hear his answers.

Here's a link to the game. http://cherishinghopesanddreams.blogspot.com/2012/01/30-things.html

Hubby then began asking his own questions which were even better. It was such a good drive down!!! I think we learned a lot more about each other and we have been married for 3 years and together for 10 years....so that is saying a lot.

In San Antonio, we mostly relaxed and just enjoyed each other. It was so serene and relaxing.

Here's a few pics from the trip:

Taken at The Guenther House. My favorite place to go. I go each time we are in town. BIG portions and it is SOOOOO good!

jealouse of hubby's drink, but he deserves it.

rooftop pool at the hotel

phone booths in the Menger hotel. Wow!

Eating the famous ice cream at the haunted Menger Hotel. This hotel is famous for this ice cream and it has been eaten by several presidents.

I love the views on the riverwalk. So, serene
